Is it Good to Learn English as early as possible?

Our generation started to contact with English from primary school. To calculate it, it has been 13 years since we began learning English. However, different people have different levels of English. Some are good at it,while others do bad in it. What's the cause of it? In my opinion,it is not good for children to learn something they do not understand and have no interest in,what's more it's too early for them. Therefore,the earlier the better does not apply to English language learning.
It is because the children's initiative come from their interest of things,it is easy to arouse their resentment and hate this thing if they are forced to learn something they don't understand and have no interest in.So I think we should make them interest in learning English and do things that will arouse their interest.For example,play games related to English or sing English songs and so on.
On the other hand, learning English can't be too late,too.English learning has high level requirement of memory and familiarity,children who are in growth period have particularly good memory that should not be missed this time. Meanwhile,we should create a atmosphere of learning English since they are young,to make the children feel that English is everywhere in daily life .
